This client wanted to bring the color of her tile in the shower out to the glass block walls. Masonry & Glass Systems incorporated bronze glass block to her doorless walk-in shower. The shower pan and custom curbs were also provided by Masonry & Glass Systems making the design and installation seamless.

This client did a complete master bathroom remodel with Pittsburgh Corning Icescapes Glass Block in two windows at either end of his shower. They also desired a dramatic look to their new ceramic tile shower. The answer was a Riolito Shower Base with a new design that allows larger tile to be used on the floor area. The long rectangular drain is what allows larger tile to be used. Masonry & Glass Systems installed the glass block and provided design assistance and Wedi materials for the project. The customer also wanted a large area to store soaps and shampoo and he designed a custom soap niche from Wedi 3 x 5 x 1/2 inch boards. The project looks terrific and Masonry & Glass Systems is proud to have played a part.
This glass block shower photo library shows the base before the glass block walls, during construction, and the finished project. The glass block portion of the shower took 2 days to erect on has 162 glass block in it. The pattern is Decora with white mortar. The walls are 6. 8″ tall. The inside of the shower has a bench and there is no need for a shower door. Masonry & Glass Systems helped to design this doorless shower, provided the material and erected the glass block walls. Design flexability, professional installation and on time delivery!
This historic home is in the Soulard Area of St. Louis. The windows replaced on the side and rear of the house were aluminum clad Custom Shield pocket windows by Weather Shield with simulated divided lites. The front of the home has specific historical replicas used as as replacements. The windows look terrific and the installation by Masonry & Glass Systems was professional.
