One of the terrific attributes of a glass block shower is how highly customizable it is. You can use different sizes and shapes to make pretty much any design or layout that works for your bathroom space. The shower in this blog mixes clear and wavy block to make an interesting perspective allowing privacy but at the same time vision into the shower to enjoy the tile design. Masonry & Glass Systems is stocking both of these glass blocks so as to create a shower like this for our customers.

The entry doors we use at Masonry & Glass Systems are manufactured by ProVia and Therma Tru. The two leaders in the replacement entry door business. One of the reasons we use these two fine companies is their attention to detail. When you purchase a new entry door not only should it look terrific but it should insulate far better than the door that it replaced. The picture attached to this blog shows the weatherstripping on of our doors at the threshold or bottom of the door. Notice that it has two bulbs to seal out water and air as well as two sweeps. This type of weatherstripping assues a lifetime of energy efficiency and problem free service.

Three years ago Wedi was the first manufacturer to introduce channel or linear drains that were fully integrated into a tile ready shower pan with the Wedi Riolito. Now comes the new Wedi Fundo Riofino tileable shower pan. Water drains away through a narrow gap between the cover plate and the tile.

The new Riofino pan features a linear center drain that is in the middle of the Wedi base. This gives a new, unique look to a shower while maintaining a center drain but allows the use of larger tiles. The cover comes in a variety of finishes and can be even tiled over to make the drain almost invisible.

The beauty of Elements windows by Masonry & Glass Systems start with the elegant exterior frame. The cove mould perimeter has a very pleasing contour that is designed to look like a wood window. Due to the World Class Robotic equipment used to make the Elements window the exterior cove frame has nearly invisible seams at the corners that are smooth and are designed within 1/32 of an inch. All of this helps the Elements line have industry leading air infiltration ratings while achieving a look you can be proud of.

This was a very interesting and challenging door replacement job. The sidelight is only exposed on the exterior and so a normal installation was not possible. The client wanted a double bevel storm door glass and wanted the sidelight bevel to be double as well and match. The answer was to install a beveled storm window for the sidelight along with a beveled new storm door both provided by Pro Via Door. The client also wanted a new entry door but did not want any embossed panels in the door to take away from the the beveled glass in the storm door. I think her decision was wise as the installation turned out beautifully. Our professional door installation crew from Masonry & Glass Systems did another wonderful job as you can see from the before and after pictures.

What makes Elements’ ratings the best?

These Industry leading features! COMFORT FOAM

We significantly decrease the U factor by filling the extrusions with comfort foam. The expanding polyurethane foam insulation fills critical spaces in the extrusion to greatly increase overall thermal efficiency. DURA-SILL is the most unique window sill design in the industry, and is accountable for why its water, air and structural ratings are so exceptional. It combines innovations such as Soft Seal Compression Gasket that wrap over a ledge to provide an additional barrier to air infiltration. A structural interlock to provide strength and ULTRA SMART triple fin weatherstripping with Biocide to stop even more air infiltration. If you want a window that is going to keep the weather out you need not look any further, ELEMENTS WINDOWS by SOFT-LITE and installed professionally by Masonry & Glass Systems.

Masonry & Glass Systems is proud to introduce a new line of thinner, less expensive and yet unique glass blocks for showers. The new line of glass block has a new distinct color that you will find very attractive. What makes this new line so attractive is that it comes in multiple shapes so as to create interesting glass block shower wall designs. A new pattern available in this new line is clear glass block that was not available before. Now you can use the design flexabilty of glass block and have a shower that has a new clear look to showcase the tile work inside your shower. In addition because this new line of glass block is thinner it costs considerably less. Glass Block showers just got cheaper and yet better with the new look of this line from Masonry & Glass Systems.
