This blog will show the installation of a 6 x 6 wedi shower bases with curbs, walls, custom soap niche, and custom built bench supplied by Masonry & Glass Systems. The 6 x 6 base was installed first (6 x 6 wedi base). The walls were then installed using wedi sealant and screws and washers (Photo 1).

Please note how tight the fit is between the wall board and the shower head supply pipe (Photo 2).

The bench was built from 2 x 8 x 2 inch wedi board custom cut to fit (Photo 3 & 4).

The soap niche was built from 3 x 5 x ½ inch wedi board with 2 x 4 support behind the wedi board (Photo 5).

The curb was then installed. The miter cut was on the money and so resulted in a nice tight joint (Photo 6).

The overall result is a waterproof, mold proof, and mildew proof shower that will not puddle and is ready for tile (Photo 7).
