Developed for absolute workability, the Wedi shower system is easily applied over stud walls with Wedi fasteners. After the Wedi wall panels are secured and the seams are sealed, tiling may commence immediately. This means that a bare wall can be prepared, waterproofed and ready to tile in a fraction of the time required by conventional methods. When applied to the wall, Wedi building panels provide a one-step setting bed and waterproof surface.
Used in conjunction with Wedi building panels the Wedi Fundo Shower base ends multiple installation steps and eliminates the need for materials used in conventional installations–no more pre sloping base liners, mud beds, waterproofing membranes and weep hole drain. It also eliminates risks related to conventional installations such as base liner cracks, clogged weep holes and mold growth in mud beds. These prefabricated shower bases from Wedi reduce installation time to less than a day from 2 to 3 days. All Wedi shower substrate installations are tile ready the same day.
