Masonry & Glass Systems replaces a lot of front entry doors in the St. Louis, MO area. Below we will show the steps involved and what products were used. The exterior existing door was a metal door with sidelights. The interior existing door was a painted woodgrain that was well worn.  When we install a new door we do not keep any of the previous door’s interior moulding or exterior trim. The new entry door was from Pro Via and was a Signet fiberglass door.  The glass package used was clear glass with simulated divided lights or SDL’s. The exposed grids add definition to the door. The customer opted to remove the transom on top of the previous door and go with taller doors for a dramatic new look. The finish on the door was cherry grain with toffee finish. The owner also selected a more-subtle entry hardware design for the door using Emtek Hannover style with lifetime aged bronze finish. The contrast of the white exterior decorative entry moulding and the new woodgrain tall entry doors immediately changed the look of the entrance.
