Wedi Board panels are the ultimate lightweight ceramic tile backerboard, designed to provide a waterproof barrier for walls and floors. It is also suitable for countertops bit should not be subject to extremely hot items. The 1/8, ¼ and ½ any building panels are designed to provide superior internal waterproofing, insulating and bond properties for floors, while the ½, 5/8 and 1 inch products are used on walls. The 1 ½ and 2 inch building panels are used to fabricate structural items such as shower benches and seats without the need for any support structure other than themselves.
The Wedi building panels unlike other foam boards are strong yet flexible. They do not compress under normal floor loads and they do not break like some rigid backerboards.
